Watched Totoro again last night…

I am thinking about taking up on food photography over the summer! Not the just bringing a camera over a restaurant table… but practicing on stylizing and lighting as well. I was inspired by the MDR Photography and Melissa Hartfiel, and it gave me the idea to try food photography from home. So far I think they came out not too shabby for a noob (this photo doesn’t count btw, it’s iphoneography)… but I am thinking about putting a twist to my challenge.
My parents are GREAT COOKS. Especially my dad. His cooking is amazing, and it has that fusion style. And I think it’s about time I get down their recipes! While at it, why not photograph them too?!
So that is something I have been thinking about for the past few weeks. And hopefully I won’t abandon and neglect my tumblr over the summer (again)…
The photo above is from a family lunch gathering at an outdoor balcony in San Carlos. The dish is beef wrap with fresh sandak bread and mint. Recipe coming soon!

It was a bit difficult to choose my 9 of pride instagram photos. And I realized how my style ranges so differently that it was hard to put them together in a collage! Maybe it’s time to try to stick with one style… On another note, I think I kinda lucked out on aligning them subtly.

On another note… I just learned that tumblr does not accept CMYK jpg. Explains why I kept getting an error!

I must really suck at using a tumblr because I always fail to check my messages. Can’t believe I missed out on this!
